Prep weekend....

So I am currently running on no sleep I have just written a 2000 word essay that I accidentally wrote 3500 words for and had to dramatically reduce the word count so I have no idea how well I did because I feel like I had to cut out crucial things but there were even more crucial things that needed to be in there... any who... woe is me and all that.

Now that's done though I can now focus on my remaining Blogmas posts I'm a few posts short so I need to do some brainstorming. Candice and I may have come up with some ideas which will require her help but I think would be really good to do for Blogmas.

This weekend is prep weekend. If you don't know what I mean by prep weekend I mean Christmas prep. Every year I do a massive in depth clean, clear out and sort of my bedroom. So for Christmas I know I'll be getting socks and underwear and various creams etc. for my birthday and Christmas so I go through all my socks, underwear, clothes and make-up to see what I can throw away, see if any make-up and creams I have are out of date, what I can donate to charity and just have things be put back in a general order and back in their places. I like to be able to make room for stuff I may get especially because I have both my birthday and Christmas so it just makes my life easier when they arrive and I'm not surrounded by stuff for too long because I should be able to easily find a place for it. It means you aren't covering a cluttered and unclean room with Christmas decorations as well.

I don't know is this a weird thing to do? am I the only person who does this? I see it as a spring clean but just a Winter clean :D

I'm getting so excited that Blogmas starts on Monday I hope you guys are too and that means Christmas will only be 25days away. This year went SO unbelievably fast. I'm not even sure what happened in it, it went that fast but as my parents say the years get quicker the older you get.  How sad is that? When you are younger all you wish for is for the days to hurry up and then when you get older you would do anything for them to slow down a little.

As always, thank-you for reading guys and chat soon

My Bra alternatives...

Picture sources || topshop.com, newlook.com & hm.com
Edit || By yours truly aka me
Now I wasn't sure I was going to write this post because who would really be interested in it, I could only think of me as it directly applies to me but I thought if I had found a blogpost about this I would have been so happy so this is for anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation. I also thought I share most things with you guys so why not this to?

Last month and the beginning part of this month I was finding wearing my normal bra's extremely uncomfortable and restricting and was starting to only wear them if I was being seen by people or had to venture outside and even that was becoming lax at times because I was just finding it so uncomfortable and hard to breathe. Now I'm a 34C which I think most would consider a normal size and shouldn't restrict some-ones breathing, but I tried it where I brought 36C's just to see if it would help... it didn't! Sports Bra's really weren't very useful as they are extremely tight as they obviously are made to keep people's boobs in place if they are running and therefore are extremely restrictive too. So I searched for "soft bras" I was finding it was the wire and band on my normal bra's that were the thing that was restricting my breathing but soft bras don't have that.

All the bras above are wireless and elasticated. In the past few weeks these have been so helpful the elastic band seems to let me breath and I just feel so much more comfortable out in public. I have never been one of those people who is comfortable being braless and I don't think I ever will so these are great for any-one who finds normal wired bras uncomfortable and restrictive like I do. They obviously don't give you the shape and support that a underwire and padded bra would give you but for me that's not what I was looking for, I was just looking for something to give a little bit of support and would make me feel more comfortable outside and they do that. I brought a size 10 in most of these as they don't do the normal cup sizes in them but just so that gives you a size guide.

Finding nice ones was hard though, there were a lot of horrid ones around but I thought I'd share with you the ones I found and some of the ones I brought.

1. These 3 are from topshop.com and were £20 each
2. This one is from newlook.com and was only £7.99
3. These two were from H&M and were £12.99

Good things come to those who wait?

source
Good things come to those who wait? Do they?

I've honestly never really understood this expression and it's why I never say it to anyone. I think what it means is, is good things come to those who preserver because I'm pretty certain multi million pound industries didn't get to be successful by just waiting, but what I mean is Good things don't always come to those who wait. If you do nothing how can you expect anything good to happen if you did nothing towards it?

In my scenario and countless others there are people who are waiting just like me and once again 1 in 3 of us die, I certainly don't consider that to be a good outcome to all the waiting that person did. I understand why people say this saying to me though because they believe that I'll get my call and that all this waiting will have been worth it. Waiting does make you a lot tougher, it make some things just seem minuscule compared to this one thing in your life that encompasses every other thing. I do however have to say the one bad thing about it is that it makes you more cynical, and a bit mean. I read through peoples tweets and Facebook status's and you should hear some of the things that run through my mind about some of the "problems" I see but because I have manners and am polite I don't say anything. This was one of the contributing factors to why I had to take a break from Facebook because it's not right for me to think those things or think like that because no matter what people's problems are, no matter how big of small they are, they are probably something that feels like a massive problem to them and why shouldn't it? I think at times I just have to remind myself that there're people far worse of than I am if you think about it. There are people dying in far less comfort than I am, who don't have access to the medicines I do, people who are homeless & starving to name but a few and I must count myself lucky and try to look at the bigger picture more often.

I like to think my transplant will happen because I'm a very strong willed person, I'm someone who preservers through most things I suppose the saying "Nothing worth having comes easy" would probably apply to this situation more than "Good things come to those who wait." Maybe that will be true because maybe if I had, had my transplant sooner say in the early days of waiting I wouldn't have been able to appreciate what it will hopefully be like to have the organs I need. So hopefully all this waiting and the experiences that have happened because of this waiting will have made me a much stronger and appreciative person for it. Although I think 943 days may be taking it a bit far LOL I really don't want to reach 1000 days I think the 900's is good ;-)

Current Life...

I want to write a super interesting post for you guys but I'm afraid I can't. Life has been lovely and boring, I have been doing uni work, drinking tea (decaf) and hot chocolate, watching netflix and lots and lots of Christmas movies. Life doesn't get any more delightfully boring than that does it?

I have been working on my Blogmas posts which I'm super excited to share with you all, some I can't write because they'll be about what I'm doing throughout December but the ones I can write are basically done. This weekend I basically forced my mum to watch all the Christmas movies I wanted to watch because I had just written a Blogmas post which put me right in the mood for Christmasy goodness thankfully my mum loves christmas movies as much as I do and therefore it wasn't so much force as it was just asking her.

I feel like I get so into Christmas because I have the time to really get into it, does that make sense to anyone else. I tend to think people who have jobs and very busy lifestyles probably just don't have time to get excited about it and it just feels like a ticking time bomb for them whereas I'm just willing the days to go faster so I can enjoy my December. It probably doesn't help that mine and Megan's Birthday is in December and I feel like this year I'm more excited because, my mum, sisters and I are all going to see Michael BublĂ© in Birmingham on the 2nd and then on the 13th all of my best friends will finally be together in my favourite place ever, Harry Potter Studios. It just feels like it's a lot more exciting that it was last year for some reason and I LOVE IT!

I hope wherever you are you are having delightfully boring or wonderfully exciting lives, whichever you prefer.

My experience with Blogging...

Source
In the past 2 and half years of blogging I have had quite a few people ask me "How do you even start a blog?" "What do you write about?" "How do you even know what to write about?" so I just wanted to give my opinion and tell you what my experiences with blogging have been.

  • There are some people who start their blogs who know exactly what they are going to write about because they have a passion for it. I knew what I was going to write about because I knew what type of blog this was going to be, it was going to be about me and my life and that includes so many different topics that I can write about that if I am ever going through a bad emotional patch and don't particularly want to write about what I am feeling there are a million other things I could write about that aren't so deep. Whereas others who don't particularly know what they want to write about it takes time to discover what it is you want to write about but that gives you a chance to explore and discover what you really want to write about.
  • In my experience if you don't like what you are writing about people probably aren't going to like reading it.
  • How do you start writing a blog? Well if you do what I did I just started writing my about me page that's what came easiest for me because it was something I already knew and could express well it was just like reciting a story for me, at that point I wasn't sure how much of me I wanted to share or whether I could really fully share all of that on here but it came with time.
  • If you're going to write a blog I think you should be writing it for yourself because you enjoy it not because you feel like you have to produce something for your readers. I carry on writing my blog because I really like writing it and I know one day I will look back on my posts and be able to truly appreciate what I went through/am going through and that is something I am really looking forward to.
  • Keep at it. I find that if you don't write regularly you tend to stop and then I get annoyed with myself because I didn't write for a while whereas if I write regularly I find it much easier to keep on writing if that makes sense.
  • Don't be afraid to share your blog with others. You will be surprised how many people actually relate to what you are saying and if you are anything like me it's nice to find people who feel the same way you do without feeling judged.
  • Lastly people ask me how I "did" my blog as in the design. Admittedly these are people who have little experience in the blogging world. The short answer is I didn't! I paid someone to re-design the layout and colours of my blog. I told her what I wanted how I wanted it done, the colours I wanted and all of that and she did it. This is simply because I am crap when it comes to technical computer stuff and I wanted my little space on the internet to look pretty and it was worth it for me especially if I was going to look at it 2 to 3 times a week.

UK Blog Awards 2015

 Hi guys

So todays blog is just a bit of an update on our little place here on the internet. I am an entrant in this years UK Blog Awards ( I say this year it's actually the UK Blog Awards 2015) which is very exciting. I've been put up for two categories which are the "Lifestyle" category which is being sponsored by Debenhams and then there is the "Young person Recognition" category for people aged 18 - 25 which is being sponsored by market me.

I have gone through the rules of the voting so that I can properly explain it to you guys and it seems quite simple so here goes:-
  • Voting runs from the 10th of November to the 1st of December.
  • Each person can only vote ONCE per category and that is it. Any duplicate votes won't count.
  • To vote all you have to do is click on the links below and they only need your name and email address.
  • The blogs with the most votes from each category will put into a shortlist.
  • This shortlist will then be put in front of a panel and they will decide upon a winner and announce the winner at their event early next year.
I have most likely made it sound more complicated than it actually is but if you want to vote you can do I have provided the pictures below just click on them and they will take you to the page where you can vote should you want to. I'm not sure I would be classed as either categories; I don't feel I have done that much to be classed as a "young person to recognise" I'm sure there will be people who have done amazing things with their lives that deserve that recognition much more than I, or if someone waiting for a transplant can be really classified as a "Lifestyle Blog" I suppose it is a Lifestyle but I usually think of lifestyle blogs as people going off to far off lands eating amazing foods and doing amazing things or people with really cool jobs that you aspire to have. But if you want to vote it's here for you :)

If you guys what to check out all the other blogs that are Entrants in this years UK Blog Awards 2015 you can just click on the link HERE and it will take you straight to it :)

Becoming myself...

source
I have very little to write about at the moment. November has and always seems to be quite a boring month for me generally it never holds much of anything interesting for me. There're no birthdays of friends or family in it and the only seemingly interesting thing in November is the 5th aka Fireworks night which I didn't do anything for. So basically I'm just apologising for the lack of blogs so far this month. November in my household is just the month that comes before the big event and in my opinion just adds 30 unnecessary extra days before I can celebrate December. I do however understand that there will be those who have yet to even start their Christmas shopping (naughty) and need these days but for me they are in the way.

I am getting very excited for December though as you can probably tell if you follow me on Twitter and Instagram, it is wholeheartedly my favourite time of the year, whatever the weather you will more than likely see a smile upon my face throughout it. This year I am most excited for my advent calendars, yes I did use a pleural there. I have 3 potentially 4 I'm not to sure right now whether I will end up getting the 4th. I have your classic chocolate one, this year I have gone for a Malteser one. I'm not sure if Malteser's are a British thing but if you don't know what they are they are really good and google them I'm not entirely sure how to describe the middle of them. Second I got a lego one the girl version which I'm super excited about it's getting interactive with the calendar which I love. Thirdly I have a Benefit Calendar which I proudly say as I managed to get one before they sold out and the reason I'm proud is because I literally woke up like 10 minutes before they went on sale and could have totally forgotten. I really want a picture one as well as that's what i grew up with so I may give in and buy one because that will just be for the nostalgia. I'll probably do a Blogpost on these closer to December or if I decide to do Blogmas/Vlogmas I may do it for then.

I can honestly say this break from Facebook is doing me the world of good, I think I have only been on it twice since I decided to not be on it and that was because someone mentioned me in a comment and an email got sent to me about it. I feel like I'm getting myself back. I haven't disappeared from the world entirely because I still post on Instagram and Twitter regularly but with them I feel like there is a lot less to get sucked into if that makes sense. I just follow fellow bloggers and famous people mostly on Twitter and Instagram seems a lot less emotion filled I just get to see peoples meals and Starbucks and seemingly happy moments of their lives at a party or something and selfies. It's not so heavy which I really appreciate at the moment.

I got to see one of my Besties Rosie this evening and we tried out a new place that just opened in our town. I haven't seen Rosie for about 3 months, but she lives in Chelmsford (Chelmsford being in the South East of England and I live in the South West) and she has started a new job just after I last saw her which she is really loving and I am so happy she has found a job that she loves! Being an adult is hard sometimes you can't see people whenever you want to you just have to enjoy the moments you do have with those people. We had a massive catch-up and I finally got to give her, her Birthday present and card which she already knew about as I had to make sure she had the day off and Me, Megan, Rosie, Gina and Bernice are all going to Harry Potter Studios in December just before mine and Meg's birthday which I am so excited about. Rosie got very excited for her card though which I actually brought I think it must have been February-ish but when I saw it I had to buy it because it had a guinea pig having a birthday party on it (Rosie has 2 guinea pigs and they are like her babies). I just love someone who can appreciate a good card because I actually do go to so much effort when I buy a card.

I do realise I said I didn't have much to speak about and have seemed to ramble on for quite some time Oops.

I hope you are all having a fantastic November thus far and are looking forward to December as much as I am.

As always, thank-you for reading guys and chat soon

Live Life Give Life...

Hello my beautifuls,

Today you are dealing with a much happier Stacie, my Facebook hiatus seems to be doing the trick and my Phone battery seems to be appreciating it to.

Since my last blog a few things have happened. My dad got taken into hospital which was weird, I've never actually had to see my dad in hospital before and it is very strange seeing any of my family members in hospital if it isn't me so it was new one on me. I'm sure my dad wouldn't want me telling the world what his medical issues are so I won't but the doctors are sorting it he should be having a operation at some point and hopefully that will sort everything for him.

Also on Saturday it was Bernice's "Live Life Give Life" party which I was most excited for. The theme this year for the Live Life Give Life campaign was "The Day of the Living" which I thought was super clever putting a spin on the Mexican celebration of the The Day of the Dead. When Bernice decided to throw a party to raise money I was determined I had to go so Meg made sure she got the day off and we did the just over 3 hour journey to Bernice's Home town.

I got very excited for the party and brought a dress from very.co.uk which I surprisingly fell in love with and personally think I'll be wearing it again come Christmas time. Coming to the party were a lot of Bernice's family and transplant people whom I have known for a while but haven't actually met. Obviously there was Bernice and Kath who I have met and you all know they are my favourite people ever. But then there was Emily and Laura who had there double lung transplants around the same time Bernice did but they had theirs on the same day as each other. They were both the loveliest girls just as I had expected they would be. Emily also brought her husband David who was really lovely also. I got to meet a lady called Sally who I didn't know was going but she has the heart to Bernice's lungs which was amazing and she was so nice and it was so lovely to be able to speak with her.

I got to meet lots of Bernice's family which was awesome and Bernice's Boyfriend as well and they were all just so nice and welcoming and I honestly was just so happy to be there and celebrate with them all. I think the best part of the evening for Megan was the raffle we had brought ten strips of raffle tickets and Megan was getting all prepared with our tickets and I was there going "What are you doing? We never win anything" but Megan was determined we were and low and behold we won three things. We won a Sugar Skull money box, a bunch of chocolate and a cake which was made by Bernice's mum who actually makes cakes. We were super chuffed and me Meg were so happy to win anything. Megan handed out a lot of the cake as it was a 3 tier cake and there was no way me and my family were going to be able to eat the whole thing. My parents both tried it when we got home and they were raving about it for like half and hour straight, it was really amazing though!

All in all it was such a good evening spent with some really wonderful people. Kath, Rob and I got to have a good old catch up as it's the first time I've seen them since my false alarm so we were having a good old natter about that and in the past week Kath was on a panel for a "Woman at Home" event sharing her story whilst also raising tonnes of awareness for PH and organ donation, she's just written a blog on it so go and check that out I'm sure you will come away inspired! Kath's Blog

Bernice actually raised a whooping £547.89 last night and I am honestly just SO proud of her, bless her heart it stressed her out but she persevered and it massively paid off. Such a Proud Best friend right here. If you guys want to check out The Live Life Give Life charity page please do, the link is always on my "Related Pages" page.
